John Chen is the CEO and The Big Kid with the Old Soul of PlayTime Inc. John helps individuals and teams learn life and business skills by combining his passions for cutting edge technology, incredible adventures and human change to create innovative and effective programs that create long lasting change and results.

John honed his skills during 9 years at Microsoft where he was one of the few people who did each of the core 3 jobs to create world-class software product. Software Design In Test, Software Design and Program Management. He worked on Lan Manager and was a key member of the Exchange Performance Team which helped ship the first verson of Exchange, the world's fastest selling client/server product. He achieved 2 patents and shipped software which helped extract more performance from the servers. In addition, John worked on retention at Microsoft, where he interviewed 125 at-risk employees and designed a process where he got 123 of them to stay. John continues to use technology to help facilitate change through online facilitation and using experiential initatives online.

John has always investigated cutting edge change skills and organization development to help him achieve his results at Microsoft. John has been involved in the Association of Experiential Education since 1996. John has also been an Assistant Trainer with Robbins Research International since 1996 and has guided groups of people through transformational change at RRI, Inc. events. John is also a member of the Experientia consortium which has some of the top minds in the experiential field. John is one of the few people who can reach to highly technical people using these skills as he honed them during his last 4 years at Microsoft.

John uses adventures as varied as indoor initatives to rock climbing to racing cars to mountaineering and other extreme adventures to help transform people's lives. John also incorporate cutting edge technology from email facilitation, teleconferencing to web-based video conferencing and other technology tools to create virtual teams long before the teams meet face to face.

John is married to the lovely Whittnee Chen and is the father to 3 children. He lives in Seattle, WA and can be seen enjoying many indoor and outdoor pursuits in the Pacific Northwest.
